Jaiden’s AP Blog

 Today we didn’t do much. We opened up a document and answered 20 questions about the “Fences” play. After class I had practice, so I went directly outside afterwards. We have a game tomorrow so coach didn’t want to work us too hard. We ran through a few plays and our positions and we were let go. 

 Today I didnt go to school. I went to work with my mom’s husband, where he is a chef and i was there for 3 hours or so. I had concerts to a Oneus ticket and I headed to the venue around 2:30. 10 of my friends were already in line, so I didn’t have to go all the way to the back. The concert didn’t start until 8, but the doors opened at 6:45. I had floor tickets, so I was at the very front and my feet were honestly so sore after 2 hours. The concert ended around 10, but I didn’t get home until 12.

  Today we finished the “fences” play book. We then watched some of the movie and were dismissed. We had a game today and we won 6-1, and then when we were watching the boys game with 12 minutes left in the game it started raining. After the game, my brother picked me up and we sat in his car talking about school work. 

 today we started with a bellringer and then watched a youtube video about a real estate agent reacts to first time house buyers. Then we discussed the bellringer after the video and then went to reading the play. We read act one, scene 2 and 3 before class ended. At practice, my legs have been hurting a lot so I had to take practice pretty slow. We  mainly did running drills and worked on our endurance instead of ball drills.We ended practice early and then I helped our goalie do some catching drills.  

 Today we started reading the play “fences”. We started off with background information about the author and then read about the setting of the play. The first scene consisted of the main characters rose,tony, and bono had a conversation outside of rose’s and tonys house. The opening conversation was about bono accusing tony of cheating on his wife with a woman names “alberta” from florida. We were introduced to their son “lyons”, a little later and I got the vibe that rose babies him even though he is a grown man. 

 Today I stayed home. I woke up on time, so around 6 but I could barley move. My legs were hurting from the game last night, so i eventually told my ride to just not get me. Majority of the day was spent sleeping and then I ended up cleaning the kitchen and washing my hair. My mom and her husband went to one of my cousins parties and I just stayed in bed. 

 Today we watched mac v.s pc ads and then talked about our assumptions on who the ads were for. We broke off into groups and chose 6 rivals companies/brands  and then wrote down our assumption. After class we had practice and we were let out early for our game tomorrow. We ran a mile and then went into ball drills. After practice me and my friend went to walmart again and bought some breakfast food and snacks for after the game. 

 Today we got 3 papers, a rubric and then a example essay. We went through the rubric and circled what would make an average essay for us. We then read a essay that would be a 1 and then moved on to a essay that would be considered a 6. That was it, after class I had to go downstairs and change expeditiously before our game. It was a 40 minute drive to the school we were playing and ended up staying until 9pm. And then after the boys and girls soccer game, me and my friend went to watch the rest of the boys basketball game. 

 Today we wrote down the steps for the format of making a good rhetorical analysis paper. We watched a video eulogy about ronald regan spoken by maragret thatcher. We looked at an example and then wrote down what type of rhetorical devices we saw. We highlighted through the example, and we went through the body paragraph. After that, we started our blog, and then I went to practice.

 Today we read a poem by maya angelo but before that we had a big debate about black history month. I was literally attacked and was told my opinion was wrong. The debate itself was funny, but it was nice to see others opinions I suppose. But for actual class, we went stanza by stanza as usual and looked for how we  could break it down more. We ran out of time before we could go over fully again hut we got to stanza 4-5.
